Why do you like writing?
C. L. Kennedy: I enjoy writing because it is creative and expressive, and no one can tell you what to write or what not to write. I especially like rhyming poetry, because it flows well if the meter is consistent and is pleasing to read and hear.

C. L. Kennedy: I started writing when I was 12, because one day in the car a random song lyric came to me . . .

C. L. Kennedy: Write every day, even if it's just one sentence! You have to write, or you will never, ever be a writer!
