Why do you like writing?
Jenna Calverson: I like writing because, i my stories, I can become whoever I want to be, live any life, and do anything..plus...its all up to me!

When did you start writing and why?
Jenna Calverson: I started writing when was...I think in first grade, because the teacher had shown us a book that I thought I could make more interesting...so I did.

How long have you been writing?
Jenna Calverson: I have been writing for about seven years, but I'm not allways consistant; I don't allways keep up wiht my writing...I might take a few weeks or even a month off before I remember that I have stories saved up for me to finish!

What is the best book you have ever read?
Jenna Calverson: Wow....best book..umm I luv al books but I really love The Alanna series, aka the Lioness Quartet.... they're not that popular so dont feel bad if you havent read them yet..but u should!

Who is your favorite author?
Jenna Calverson: Once again...wow..I think it would be the author who wrote the Alanna series, or the Lioness Quartet. That would be Tamora Pierce.

What is the best story you have ever written?
Jenna Calverson: Ummm I havent finished any yet..I'm the kind of person who will start one, get half way through with it, and start a new one.

What is some advice you would give new writers?
Jenna Calverson: I'm a new writer, so I'm not hte best person to ask, but I guess it would be to write what you're interested in, not what other people want you to write. Don't get me wrong, it's good to keep up with your reading audience, but don't write what they want if you aren't haveing fun doing it, or have absolutely no interest in it.
