Hope is a child's smile,
Despair is a child's cry.
Hope is a helping hand,
Despair is looking the other way.
Hope is a kind word from a stranger,
Despair is a hate crime against another.
Hope is a heartfelt prayer,
Despair is not knowing God.
Hope is knowing people care,
Despair is thinking you are alone.
On September 11, 2001 our enemies thought our hope was gone.
They were wrong...
Our hope is in God's love;
