Why I love plastic flamingos
Dear friends I want to share with you something personal – the story why I love pink plastic flamingos so much.
When I was a little girl we had this great neighbours the Smith family.
One morning I woke up and from my window I saw something that looked wonderful to me.
The entire lawn in front of the house of our neighbours was covered with lovely pink flamingos. There were everywhere. It turned out that this day it was the birthday of aunt Susan and her husband has rented a flock of pink flamingos to surprise her. I don’t know why, but this kitsch plastic birds made me such a great impression and they became a symbol of love in my mind. I know I may sound strange but with this gesture uncle Gregory has show the whole world how much he loves his wife.
I begged my parents a few times to buy me at least a pair of pink flamingos but they never found a time to do this so I grew up without my dream birds.
Years past by fast as you all may have mentioned and here I am laying on my bed, on the day of our anniversary, ten years of happy marriage with my husband. I woke up this morning just like I woke up back in the days when I was a little girl and from my window I saw a sea of pink plastic flamingos. This time this was our own lawn. I was not able to see even a spot of green grass only pink flamingos everywhere. My husband has remembered my story about the Smith family and after so many years he has decided to show how much he loves me with enormous flock of pink flamingos. He has remembered my story and to matter how strange it is no associate love with pink plastic birds, he has prepared me this surprise. I am writing this story because I want the whole world to know how happy I am, how much I love my husband Andy and also to thank a web site called www.flamingo-factory.com , because after my husband has shared with them my dream they have helped him with the surprise to be even bigger, and have presented us a special gift.
