Why do you like writing?
William Woodall: I like to write because it gives me a whole new supply of stories to tell myself, and they all end exactly the way I want them to. I also just enjoy entertaining people.

When did you start writing and why?
William Woodall: I started writing when I was seven years old, because my mother used to write poetry at the kitchen table and I decided I wanted to try it too.

How long have you been writing?
William Woodall: I guess it would be 28 years now. lol

What is the best book you have ever read?
William Woodall: The Silmarillion, by JRR Tolkien. It opened my eyes to a whole world of nobility, fierceness, beauty, and depth.

Who is your favorite author?
William Woodall: Either Tolkien or C.S. Lewis. I think it would be a tossup.

What is the best story you have ever written?
William Woodall: Readers seem to think it's "Cry for the Moon". That's the one everybody loves the most.

What is some advice you would give new writers?
William Woodall: Be patient, keep working on your stories, and never give up.
