When did you start writing and why?
Abbey Gray: I started making up stories before I could even write them down myself. My mom used to write them down for me. I started writing my own in first grade. It was fun.

How long have you been writing?
Abbey Gray: About 24 years.

What is the best book you have ever read?
Abbey Gray: It's hard to choose just one, but I am pretty partial to Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's hilarious.

Who is your favorite author?
Abbey Gray: Laura Ingalls Wilder. If you want to talk about Little House then I'm your girl.

What is the best story you have ever written?
Abbey Gray: Each new idea seems better than the last.
