Jim Farren: Because it allows me to go anywhere, do anything, and be anyone I choose without leaving the comfort of my home.

When did you start writing and why?
Jim Farren: When I was 9. Because I thought I had stories to tell.

How long have you been writing?
Jim Farren: Nearly 60 years.

What is the best book you have ever read?
Jim Farren: It's difficult to pick just one, but if I HAD to choose it would be To Kill a Mockingbird because it is 'perfectly' written.

Who is your favorite author?
Jim Farren: Again, it's hard to choose just one, but if I HAD to it would be Rex Stout because he never wrote a bad sentence.

What is the best story you have ever written?
Jim Farren: That is for my readers to answer, not me.

What is some advice you would give new writers?
Jim Farren: Write at least 500 words evry day (it doesn't matter what it is about). Let it sit overnight then tear it up if it's no good. The point being that you only get better AT writing BY writing.
