Marching one by one
A poet I'm not
perhaps I'm a cynic
If there's a point to it all
then I'm too dull to get it
No great guiding light
or glimpse of divine
Just some lonely old man
with an ant farm, and time
So I'll anxiously wait
while I toil and work
Convincing myself
I'm moving more than just dirt
