Flypaper and a Wall
hopping along
like a rabbit on the run
you see her
insecurity
her face masked in paint
to hide her fears
bottled up pain
exploding in silence
a deep wall
of emotion she keeps hidden
her fingers move
nervously
her lips move like fish
swimming in a milky sea
and she's breathing much
too heavily
living al lie
is hard on the heart
but telling the truth
wouldn't be exactly
like a maid cleaning a house.
