Love and Creation

Rose petals flutter and fly
gently with the tempest
The Universe is a broken heart,
every star a hot ball of memory
of love, hate, desire...
blades of grass,
ranked like seasick soldiers
offer no resistance
lovesick lizards
play cards and drink sour wine
while white emeralds
fall from the charred
altocumulus
and forever becomes a word
meaningless out of context
love is a concept
born of desire
and comfort
through which we seek the pain
do not listen
to the screams
when hearts collide
broken hearts'
gelatinous bits
impossible to gather
and return.
always leaving sticky bits
of itself
inside, remind you
of what you've done
you have created a new universe.
