The Pub Down The Street

The only life I know

is the Pub down the street

Dancin and drinkin

to a Irish country band

Thick smoke and dim lights

and whiskey in a glass

that I am holding in my hand

Listening to Phil Mack

on the juke box

and moving my feet to his

Irish hony tonk beat

The only life I have

is the Pub down the street

Wishing you were here with me

but instead I am with strangers

sitting at a bar

washing down my whiskey

with a bottle of Guinness stout

I love that country music

with a touch of Irish

mixed in with it

I want to move my feet

The only life I know

is the Pub

down the street
