The Dragon's Mistress

The dragon with his breath of fire
fills my days with longing desire,
to break free and fly away;
but within these walls I must stay.

The dreams and plans that once were made,
have died away, a life betrayed.
A blizzard in my heart blows cold.
In years I'm young, though my mind grown old.

My soul burns with hate and rage,
as I waste away withing this cage.
If only there were a knight so brave
to rescue me from this life as slave.

This knight, a fine warrior must be,
to slay the drgaon and set me free.
I could be his lady then
a slave to the dragon never again.
