Flipping Out

Flipping Out

I bought a pair of flip flops and while walking, all I hear was flop, flop, flop; there was no flip.  Where was the flip, why was there no flip?  I thought to myself that these flip flops were defective and that I have to return them.  What’s the sense of owning a pair of flip flops when there is no flip; it kinda takes the fun out of the whole flip flop theory.  I returned the flip flops and got a new pair, and wouldn’t you know it, the same thing.  But this time it was flopping with no flipping.  So I brought them back and the logical thing to do would be to take the one that was flipping and put it with the one that flopped and make it a pair, so I did.  Believe it or not, it wasn’t the flip flops because no matter how I mixed them, I couldn’t get the flip flop thing going.  The salesman in the store noticed that the nails on my toes were long, and he told me that could be the reason for this dilemma.  So right there on the spot, I cut my toenails and the flip flop problem was solved.  I asked the salesman how he knew this, and he explained he had the same flip problem two years ago.  I gave him a five dollar tip and flip flopped my way out of the store with a huge flipping smile across my floppy-looking face.
